Using Social Media to Recognize Your Employees

Social Media (#socialmedia) is a powerful incentive tool these days.
When used in conjunction with employee recognition it become Social Recognition. It makes for a way for employers to build their brand recognition, as well as, build up the company as a place to work. Referrals to the company is paramount to them and using social media, like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Buzz, and others will help recruit top-notch candidates to consider them as their employer.

By being able to reach out beyond the walls of the company, the company may just see their brand and recruitment efforts blossom virally!

    The economy is lagging for many businesses, but there are signs of it returning….ever so slowly. My own business Out of the Box Gifts and Incentives is still thriving because people love appreciation! Yes, companies are cutting back on how much they are spending but, Incentive Magazine says it is seeing an increase in spending for corporate incentives. Why? Why now? Because as many companies had pulled back in spending for incentives, many saw performance and reaching of goals begin to weaken or come up short! Companies are beginning to invest in their incentive spending to bring back life into their business activities, whether it is to win new customers, or reward loyal staff. Companies can’t afford to lose customers or productivity in this economy.

    People thrive on appreciation. Plaques are good, pats on the back are good, the great standby – candy in a mug is good too. But a gift that fits the recipient take more imagination and work to make it have it’s greatest impact. Custom gifting is on the upswing.
